Spring Blossom in The Netherlands

No doubt the most famous and beautiful place to find "Cherry" Blossom is in Japan, but it still on my dream destination list. Thanks to Facebook I saw someone posting about Cherry blossom festival held in The Netherlands. 

Actually I don't know why it call "Cherry" blossom because not all of that trees

with beautiful flowers will produces cherry fruit :)

I have homework to find out more about this.

I live here almost 18 years but never heard about it. I found out actually there is a park in the border between Amsterdam and Amstelveen where this type of trees is located.

To be exact it's located in the Amsterdamsebos. I went there one week after the festival. Really lucky considering this country is famous with the windmill, the whole week no rain or hard wind, so after a week the flowers are still in a good shape.
